Who we are

Two letters, before you read yours.

Aaro Mind didn’t start as a business plan. It started as two people in the middle of their own transitions. These are our stories.

LETTER 01 - ZLATA

“An MBA girl doing deep soul work, with the help of AI.”

I come from a family of business people. Nobody sat me down and told me who to be. The expectations were never spoken, so I could never hand them back. I built them myself, out of a belief that I had to be a certain way for my parents to be proud of me, for my dad to be proud of me. Underneath that, as it usually is, was love. I wanted to be loved.

Which is why bringing astrology into my life took more bravery than it should have. My father has never been shy about his opinions and would say that astrology is giving away your power, handing control of your life to something else and letting it decide for you. And all this time it was the opposite.

There are two parts of me, and my reading reflects both. One is deep and intuitive, the part with a channel to something larger, the part that just knows things. The other one knows there should be a strategy, KPIs, a process, rules and data to back it up. For most of my life I tried to fit the first part inside the second one. Making your spirituality answer to KPIs and data is hard, plus it does not work. It felt like I was broken.

Trying to fit brought me to complete burnout. I remember lying there and wanting to disappear, because, for the life of me, I could not do what I thought a good daughter was supposed to do. Hitting the bottom has one bright side: there is no way down from there. I was lucky. I had people around me who walked me back out.

The reading did not fix any of that. It named it.

It said the two parts are not a contradiction, and the hypersensing is not a flaw, it is how I am wired. It described the conditions I work well in, and the ones that quietly take me apart. It made sense of how badly I had been fitting for so long. Not because I wasn’t enough. Because it wasn’t mine.

The standard I kept failing was the one I built, and I was never asked to. That does not make the cost any smaller. It just puts it where it belongs.

Once I saw that, I stopped trying to force spirituality to answer KPIs and data. I started building a base under it, so I can build something with my intuition instead of only floating in it.

That is what I am building now, and it is why there is AI inside a product about astrology. A reading names your blind spots once. What actually changes anything is having something with you that can say: you are doing it again, right now (my AI assistant does it for me all the time). That is what keeps me consistent, and it is the reason this got built at all instead of staying a very well organized strategy plan (ironically, I made at least five of those, with a lot of research data to back them up. And yes, I also have KPIs).

So here I am. An MBA girl doing deep soul work, with the help of AI.

With care,
Zlata

“It was the thing that wouldn’t hurt. It ended up being the thing that helped.”

I grew up in India, where astrology is everywhere. Charts are made at birth to describe your future (I had mine created before I even had a name; it is a handwritten book). People use it to predict things, to protect themselves, to make decisions; sometimes they let it make the decisions. That version never interested me.

Then one year brought a baby, a house, a move to a new state that didn’t feel like the place I belonged, and a layoff that took my whole team. The ground I stood on (my job, my ability to provide for my family) was suddenly shaking.

If you have been through a job search, you know the loop. You walk out of an interview certain you did well, and the rejection comes anyway. Everybody goes through it. It still shakes you every time. In a period like that you have two options. You can push through with your head down and come out the same person. Or you can walk through it trying to understand what it is asking of you, and come out with something.

My wife offered me a reading. I said yes for a simple reason: why not? It won’t hurt.

The reading didn’t tell me my future. It named the period I was in: a major transition, not a short one, closer to three years than three months. And it named something harder. The way I had always worked (for somebody else, on somebody else’s plan) no longer fit me. This chapter was about authoring my own work.

There is a difference between having a dream and believing you are capable of it.

Here is the strange part: none of this was new. Somewhere, I knew it. But when the chart pointed at the same thing I quietly knew, it became easier to believe. And I needed that. In my culture there are strong expectations for how a career should go. Reputation matters. Choosing against the expected path is not a light thing.

Astrology never made a decision for me. It didn’t promise that things would work out, and it didn’t do the work. I still had to try things that failed, and the failing turned out to be part of it. What it did was help me hear myself clearly, through the noise of expectations and shoulds.

It was the thing that wouldn’t hurt. It ended up being the thing that helped.

Cheers,
